General Information

Q: What are the event hours?
A: The event runs from 7pm to 10pm. Check in begins at 6:30 pm with doors opening at 7pm. We encourage arriving early so you don’t miss a thing! There is no admittance after 8:30 pm. 

Q: Where is check-in located?
A: Check-in ONLY takes place at the Main Entrance on Fifth Avenue and 25th Street, located at 500 25th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11232. 

Q: Do I need to print out my ticket(s)?
A: No, attendees will be checked in by name.

Q: Is the event suitable for children?
A: No, this event is strictly for adults, ages 21 and older. IDs will be checked. Leave the kids at home; those under 21 will be denied entry, no exceptions. 

Q: How long does the event last?
A: Performances will take place for three hours from 7-10pm. While it is possible to see everything, we encourage you to go at a slow pace to experience the magic of the evening.  

Q: Can I leave from a different entrance?
A: No, the only entrance/exit available is the Main Entrance at Fifth Avenue and 25th Street.

Tickets and Reservations

Q: How can I purchase tickets?
A: Tickets can ONLY be purchased online through our website. We are unable to sell tickets over the phone. A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase the night of the event on a first come basis. 

Q: Do I need to book in advance?
A: Advance booking is highly recommended as this event often sells out. 

Q: Are there any discounts available?
A: Yes, we offer discounts for members of The Green-Wood Historic Fund. Please check our website for more details, call the membership line at (718) 210-3080, ext. 2, or email contactus@green-wood.com.

Q: What is the refund policy?
A: Tickets are final sale and non-refundable, they cannot be transferred to a different performance date . However, if the event is postponed due to weather, tickets will be honored on the rain date: Saturday, October 19th.

Q: I can no longer attend the event. Can I give my ticket to a friend?
A: Yes! Your friend(s) just need to give your name at check-in. That’s it, easy peasy! Please do not call or email us with that information. 

During the Event

Q: What should I wear?
A: Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Layers are recommended as temperatures can drop at night. It’s fun to be festive, but costumes, masks, and facepaint are not permitted.

Q: Can I bring a flashlight?
A: Yes, flashlights are encouraged for safety. Please be considerate and use low lighting to preserve the ambiance of the tour (and not to blind fellow attendees).

Q: Is photography allowed?
A: Photography is allowed, but please be respectful of the cemetery and other guests. Flash photography is not permitted. Be sure to tag us on Instagram: @historicgreenwood.

Q: Are food and drinks available?
A: Beer, wine, and water will be available for purchase. Cash and card will be accepted. No outside drinks or food are permitted and will be confiscated by security upon entry.

Q: Is there parking available?
A: No, there is no parking available on-site. We encourage attendees to use public transportation or car service, such as Lyft and Uber. The nearest subway station is the R train at 25th Street (and Fourth Avenue).

Accessibility and Safety

Q: Is the event wheelchair accessible?
A: Some areas of the Cemetery may be difficult to navigate for those with mobility issues. Please contact us in advance to discuss accessibility options. There will be limited trolley service available. The trolley is ADA accessible.

Q: What safety measures are in place?
A: Safety is our top priority. We have security personnel and an ambulance on-site, and our staff is trained to handle emergencies. Please follow all guidelines and instructions during the event.

Q: What if it rains?
A: The event will proceed in light rain. In the case of severe weather, we will notify ticket holders in advance of any changes or cancellations via email and our website. Please note: Tickets are final sale and non-refundable, they cannot be transferred to a different performance date. However, if the event is postponed due to weather, tickets will be honored on the rain date: Saturday, October 19th.

Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed at the event, with the exception of service animals.

Miscellaneous

Q: Will there be restrooms available?
A: Yes, restrooms and portable bathrooms are available on-site. Please refer to the map or ask a staff member for directions.
