1 p.m. Underground Muses of Green-Wood Walking Tour
August 19, 2012, 1:00pm–3:00pm
Many famous and fascinating artists, sculptors, actors and composers have made Green–Wood their place of final repose. Leonard Bernstein, Fred Ebb, Louis Comfort Tiffany, Asher B. Durand, George Caitlin, George Bellows, William Merritt Chase and John La Farge are just a few we will visit with Green-Wood tour guide Ruth Edebohls.
We’ll also enjoy the visual delights of Green-Wood, its trees and ponds and its sculpture and buildings by the leading artists and architects of their time. Walk may be hilly and strenuous—wear good walking shoes.
Walking tour: $10 for members of The Green-Wood Historic Fund / $15 for non-members. Reservations recommended.
