Green-Wood Collects: Part II
January 13, 2021 , 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Back by popular demand! Green-Wood Historian Jeff Richman leads you on this behind-the-scenes look at the Cemetery’s extensive holdings of historical artifacts and ephemera. Acquired over the past twenty years, there are now over 10,000 items in the collection, unrivaled by any other cemetery in the United States. These items help illuminate the stories of Green-Wood’s permanent residents, as well as giving us a better idea of what life was like in nineteenth-century New York City. You won’t want to miss a minute of this evening’s program as Jeff shares with you some of the collection’s most fascinating and curious objects.
This conversation is part of our series of virtual programs about the history of Green-Wood and its permanent residents, Zooming in on History.
