FREE FILM: NYC – Opening Party

You have probably noticed the Airstream parked outside Green-Wood’s Gothic Arch. What’s going on? FREE FILM : NYC, organized by WORTHLESS STUDIOS, is taking up residency at the Cemetery for the month of October.
The Airstream-darkroom will travel to different neighborhoods over the next year and a half to provide both an artist studio and community space for distributing free rolls of film to the public. The goal is to document each borough of the City, neighborhood by neighborhood.
This fall, WORTHLESS STUDIOS is partnering with Green-Wood and Center for Family Life as they focus on “ONE SQUARE MILE” of Sunset Park. The residency will include youth workshops and public photo walks through the neighborhood (including one at Green-Wood on Saturday, October 15th).
Join us at the Gothic Arch to see the Airstream, meet the artist in residence, Adalena Kavanagh (a photographer and Sunset Park High School librarian), and pick up your roll of FREE FILM!
