Artful Remembrance: A Creative Grief Workshop
February 23rd , 1:00pm – 3:30pm
Join us for a reflective Sunday afternoon as we explore the intersections of grief and creativity with two of our grief literacy partners, Postal Service for the Dead and Life and Soul.
We invite you to honor those you’ve lost by creating collaged cards and typewritten letters at interactive art stations. This event offers the opportunity to explore art as a powerful tool for processing emotions in a supportive community setting.
Price: Free. Registration required.
Along the way, we’ll discuss the importance of grief and how it can be expressed and channeled through creativity, whether for personal reflection or to be shared with others; our partners will also guide us with discussion on how their organizations aim to do this as well. Come share, create, and celebrate the memories of those who remain close to your heart.
Presented in partnership with Postal Service For the Dead and with Life & Soul as part of their Death of the Party series.
Free. Registration required. Please consider a $10 donation to the Green-Wood Historic Fund so that we can continue to offer more death education programs like this throughout the year.
