Travel on our history trolley into Brooklyn’s storied past! When it comes to Brooklyn past and present, there’s no better tag team than Green-Wood and the Brooklyn Historical Society. So let us take you on an exploratory trolley ride through some of Brooklyn’s most fun and fascinating subjects.
This fall, we offer you Brooklyn Backstory: Hot Diggity Dogs! – an immersive look into America’s favorite ballpark snack. We’ll begin at Brooklyn Historical Society for a peek at some hot dog-related treasures from the archives (we promise we won’t show you a 100-year-old hotdog). Then hop on Green-Wood’s trolley with journalist Sarah Zorn – she knows all the best hot dog hot spots! You’ll motor around the borough and make stops at several modern hotdog purveyors for delicious samples. Then it’s back to Green-Wood for the crown jewel – a visit to the Charles Feltman mausoleum; He’s the man who had the stroke of hot dog-inventing genius way back when at Coney Island. Participants have the option of exiting the tour at Green-Wood or returning to Brooklyn Historical Society.
By the time you’re finished, you’ll know more about Brooklyn than you ever thought you would (and you can skip dinner).
$45 for members of Green-Wood.
$50 for non-members.
$85 for two member tickets.
$90 for two non-member tickets.
