Get new posts sent right to your inbox: Local Color! November 12, 2015 by Jeff Richman I love landscape photography, cemeteries in general, Green-Wood in particular, and fall foliage. Enjoy! Angel with many fall colors, including the red leaves of a Dogwood. A large brownstone monument. Crescent Water. An unusual monument. This angel had no wings when it was found; it was restored by Frank Morelli, supervisor of Green-Wood’s Restoration Team. The globe is a symbol of eternity–it has no beginning and no end. Column, capital, and vine on the side of a tomb. That is quite the orange! Euonymus alatus–commonly referred to as a burning bush–is a great bright red in the fall. A glorious cut-leaf Japanese Maple: orange, yellow, green, and red. Late light in the fall–nothing like it! A good sky enhances this scene. Pointing towards Heaven, in front of a maple. Leaves on the tree, leaves on the ground. The Sea Captain has quite a view! Maple and granite.
Gorgeous pictures! No wonder Greenwood is one of the loveliest spots in NY.
