I just wanted to share this with you. We have many wonderful workers at Green-Wood, and many good people also. Yesterday, one of our employees got this e-mail from an acquaintance:
I hope you are doing well! I wanted to send you a message, I know you work at Greenwood Cemetery so I wanted to share this with you. My mom was at my grams and cousins grave on Rush Path yesterday planting flowers. Needless to say, clumsy as she is, she slipped face first into the gravestone. There were maintenance men working at a grave nearby and saw what happened. They ran over and made sure she was ok. In addition, they planted the flowers for her and went above and beyond any of her expectations. She is so grateful for the nice gesture and wanted to commend the staff at Greenwood. She also offered them $ and they wouldn’t take it, asked her to just pray for them. Stuff like that rarely happens these days and you should be proud of your staff! If possible, thank all the men that helped, it was appreciated beyond words.
Note: the four workers involved in this have been thanked again.
